Mr. Isa Alnisk ( Abu Obaid) achieved a high level of success; because he created opportunities for himself, held on to what was within his reach, and was known for his patience, faith, will, love of family and kindness toward parents, and he also improved everything he had, and built an entity greater than what could be imagined out of nothing.
Being the son of blind parents in a poor family, he started from humble and almost non-existent beginnings, and because he was the only son for them, he passed the principle of duty to help his parents and it went beyond his personal desires to enjoy the childhood like all his peers. To earn a living for his family, at the age of six he used to go to school in the morning empty-handed of food or money, and to get his livelihood, he went to his first business project with a classmate, where he began to wrap (Basri) dates by recycling the bags that he collected at school, then he by selling the dates to his peers with a competitive price to the school canteen, and after school he went to collect animal fodder, and sells it to livestock seller in the village, that small earning can fulfill the needs of his house for that day, as he used to specify one day a week to go to the sea to catch fish in order to feed his family for a week.
During the summer holidays and for three months, he stayed at his aunt house to join one of the builders in the neighboring villages, and due to his young age, he was entrusted with the work of breaking stones with a hammer, and making what is now known as “concrete”. When he reached the fourth grade, he began to spend his vacation In the summer as a worker in a simple market to sell fruits and vegetables with one of his relatives in the vegetable market in Isa town area, and with what he gained from the experience in the vegetable market, he started to open his own market in the eastern Riffa area and after a while, one of the village men (Mr. Ahmed Malla Allah) donated an amount of 120 rupees (equivalent to 12 dinars in the current currency) to buy a donkey, so he made a wooden cart, and work on extracting salt and transported it with it. Many of his friends helped him with his work without being paid but only for fun and wasting time and to move outside the village till they reached to Al- Malikiyah, as he worked in the export of salt for factories (Mission, Sinalco and Pepsi), then he worked in selling soft drinks in a small kiosk made of fronds. Mr Isa had joined (Alhoora high school) to fulfill his father’s dream to be a teacher and in his last year of school, he left school for compelling circumstances and on the order of his father, and he could not finish his high school education, then he went to work and he won a training scholarship to Britain “London”, but he rejected it; In order to be able to take care of his blind parents and instead, he nominated one of his colleagues in his place, and went to work with (Hassan Habib Mahmoud) in Sitra tanks project, and due to his knowledge of some important English vocabulary, he was promoted under the guidance of a member of Bapco, and he was chosen to work in supervision within Bapco, then after the completion of the Sitra and Awali tanks project, he worked as a superviser in the maintenance of residential buildings for the British Army in Juffair with the African company, then he moved to work in the Bahrain Aluminum Company (Alba) for the company (Abdul Hadi Al-Alafo and Wim B) under the name “Al-Tandil”, and This is what is known as the supervisor of workers now.
After that, he worked in Norbury Group at Sitra Water Desalination station at the rank of insulator installation supervisor. After completion, he worked in RB Hilton for 61 years in Bapco as a Senior Fire and Safety Officer.
In the year 1977 AD, Mr. Isa Al-Nisk (Abu Obaid) started his own project, which was a carpentry workshop and building contracting with a team of five people from the Indian labor, and he distributed them to their working sites after the dawn azan, and then he go to transport snow to fishermen Then he go to Manama to transport snow to the workers of the company in which he works, it was a difficulty of having to do all the work himself; This is due to the group’s lack of the ability to work without guidance, in addition to his work in another company, where he used to work approximately 23 hours a day and return home to reassure his blind parents and go to sleep, leaving them in the care of his wife and return back to work, as he was entrusted with a mission” Security and safety officer.” And he has to monitor the workers, switch work periods between them, and hand them work licenses, and during his work with a foreign company for about two years, the director of the company chose him to work overtime after working with a group of people in Manama and the airport for the task of building the wall (Fence) for one of the hotels and paint it , then he moved to work in Bapco, and continued to work there until the year of his retirement in 1992 ; To focus on developing his own company, and from Norbury, he met the Dutchman (Harry) who supported him, and was the cause of the real turning point in his life.
Mr. Isa Al-Nisk (Abu Ubaid) got to know the Dutchman (Harry) during his work at the Sitra Water Desalination station , who assigned him the task of building insulation at the Sitra station in a period of nine months, although this task often takes a year. All the required equipment was provided by the supervisor and the group of foreign and Bahraini technicians are ready to start the work, Harry was impressed by his dedication to work, mastery and speed of completion, as it took only six months to complete it, so he wanted to reward him, so he gave him a set of disassembled pieces of important equipment for fabrication metals (electrical and manual), so he rented two small shops; to store tools for a period of five years, and he continued to work for that company in Alba and Bapco, and after a period of time the director of the company (Bob Storey) offered him to be a sponsor for RB Hilton for his own wife. As a result of this guarantee, Bob Storey offered Mr Isa to create a company registry for his own, and due to his financial situation, Bob Storey provided him with the amount of insurance, and Abu Obaid Trading and Contracting Establishment register was extracted and he opened a carpentry
workshop in Nuwaidrat in the year 1977 , then renting land in the Ma’ameer Industrial Area and building the Corporation’s offices and workshops and it groundbreaking was laid by Shaikh. Mansour Alsitry (Sanctify his secret) in 1983.
In 1992, after the retirement of Mr Isa, the group began working with several companies, the most important one is the Bahrain Aluminum Company (Alba) after reviewing the achievements of the institution and the construction work that had been established in the village. Work was also submitted to the Gulf Petrochemical Company (GPIC), which started to inspect the company’s headquarters located in the industrial area and its employees. In addition to its risk to buy large loans to buy lands, build them and invest them in the field of real estate in order to be able to expand the work, and because he has great faith in God’s provision and a reward for him for his sincerity in work for those who deal With them of different nationalities and religions, the company has earned a high reputation that has weight in the local market, and this is evidenced by contracts with major projects for the state throughout the history of the company, especially: Bahrain Aluminum Company (Alba), Bahrain Oil Company (Bapco), and the Gulf Petrochemical Company (GPIC), and it also went global, and the group had a name in several countries in purchasing procurement, the most important of which is ceramic,
one of the most important of those countries (India, China, Iraq, Qatar, Germany, Iran and the UAE), and a partnership was made with a company proa German, which added a high reputation to the company in Germany, and with the pace of development, the company reached what it is today.
Patience, hard work, and belief in Islamic values lead Mr. Isa gradually started a journey to provide the best for his family. Also he built an empire from nothing, and encouraged his sons and daughters to continue their education, and by encouraging them, his family members got the best education they could get and soon joined his projects and supported the man who spent his whole life building an empire in order to provide his family and country as much as he could in life and he never forgot that he was once poor and needy, so he felt his duty towards his country and society.
